Licensed!

"Anna and William Heath
is hereby licensed to provide
 Foster Care
 For
Two Children
This license is issued for the period of October 1, 2013 to September 30, 2014"

(It's mostly a pre-printed certificate, so don't mind the tiny grammatical error that occurs when two names are on it.)

I'm so nervous but so excited! There is no way to know when a child (or two) may be placed in our home.  It could be next week or next month or next year. But I'm getting a little baby hungry, so I think I'm ready for this next step in life!

Reese's First Lost Tooth!

Reese lost her first tooth last week

The tooth fairy brought her two shiny new quarters.  Yes, she has gotten cheaper since I was a kid, but Reese likes coins.  Don't judge.  I'm pretty sure you are a bad person when you think badly of someone else's tooth fairy.

Also, Reese made a swimming pool for her plastic reptiles and  wanted me to take a picture.

An then, of course, Liam wanted his picture taken, too.

Love it!

Liam First Day of Preschool!

Year 1 of 2 in preschool has begun!

He has been doing really great with potty training and he knew that only big boys who go in the potty get to go to school.  And now he's made it!

Camp Out

Our church camp out was the weekend after Reese's birthday.  The campsite was church-owned and super posh.  We had cabins with electricity and bunks (no bedding, we had to bring our own.  But still...) There was hot and cold running water, a pavilion with a kitchen (including refrigerators, sinks and a microwave, covered picnic tables, restrooms, and a large water and ice machine.

Despite the amenities, we still got to roast marshmallows and looks at the stars.  When, the next morning, we got to participate in a couple challenge courses that included a zip line.  Fun stuff!
Sittin' by the fire pit

Reese brought her art kit and that was the best idea ever.  When she wasn't running around with friends she was doing artsy things.

Getting ready for the challenge course

Liam and Reese didn't want to go- they were too busy playing in a nearby sand box.  But then Liam saw me and Will in our harness and gear and insisted he wanted to climb up there, too!

I thought he would begin and then get too freaked out by the climb, but he was a trooper!

In the end, his little limbs just weren't long enough to make it to the zip line, so they let him hang and swung him around for fun.

Then Will's turn!

And mine!

And here's our ward in front of another challenge, "The Wall". Reese is hiding behind the lady in the black and gray stripes.
